Fragile

Sobre el cuerpo se balancean numerosas piezas de caramelo cristalizado. El cuerpo retorcido se adapta a cualquier circunstancia, por más incómoda que sea; esta adaptabilidad surge del deseo de que las cosas no cambien, de que se asienten. Es como si nos envolviéramos en capas: armaduras translúcidas y dulces que nos permiten formar parte del colectivo. Durante la performance, cada capa de cristal fue adherida de manera ritual por mi madre, mi pareja y mis amigxs, representando las partes de ellxs que llevo dentro y sostengo en este cuerpo. Esta forma de existir es frágil, manifestándose en la necesidad constante de movimiento. Sin embargo, con cada paso, estas piezas caen y se estrellan contra el suelo, esparciendo pedazos de cristal sobre los que avanzo.

Numerous pieces of crystallized candy balance on the body. The twisted body adapts to any circumstance, no matter how uncomfortable; this adaptability stems from the desire for things to remain unchanged, to settle. It is as if we wrap ourselves in layers: translucent, sweet armors that allow us to be part of the collective. During the performance, each layer of crystal was ritualistically attached by my mother, my partner, and my friends, representing the parts of them that I carry within me and hold in this body. This way of existing is fragile, manifesting through the constant need for movement. Yet, with each step, these pieces fall and shatter on the ground, scattering shards of crystal over which I continue to move.
