Organic landscape in human geography
Proyecto en desarrollo donde a partir de acciones performáticas se indaga la representación de la naturaleza como un ente vivo que siente, se comunica, tiene sexualidad y conciencia. Es a partir de la botánica que se busca resignificar la concepción de la realidad poniendo el cuerpo como objeto de investigación presentándolo como una planta.
Ongoing project where from several performance investigates nature as a living entity that feels, communicates, is intelligent, has sexuality, awareness and notion of time. It is from the nature of botanics that I seek to resignify my own conception of reality by putting my body as an object of investigation representing it as a plant.
Plant man
En el 2017 construí un vestuario que denominé “hombre planta” que consistía en un traje de cuerpo completo cubierto de plantas. Con él me cuestionaba sobre el concepto del naturalismo. En ese sentido este proyecto es heredero del realismo y de su cuestionamiento sobre la representación de la realidad, a diferencia de que integro a ella la concepción de las plantas. In 2017 I built a suit that I called “plant man” and consist on an overall covered on living plants. With it I started to question about the concept of naturalism. In that sense, this project is heir of realism questioning about the representation of reality, with the difference that I add the conception of plants.
Desarrollo una metodología para entender y representar la vida vegetal desde un red de información tanto sensible como científica. Mi principal fuente de información es la interacción social, construyendo una red de memoria en torno a la visión y relación con la naturaleza. Desde inicios del 2018 realizo talleres, performance y entrevistas con diversos sectores de la sociedad mexicana, tanto en el campo como en la ciudad. Por otro lado nutro las acciones que realizo con una investigación y profundización del conocimiento teórico de las plantas a partir de científicos, como el botánico Francis Hallé, el filósofo Michel Marder, el antropólogo Viveiros de Castro, entre otros.
I develop a methodology to understand and represent plant life from a network of both sensitive and scientific information. My main source of information is social interaction, building a network of memory around vision and relationship with nature. Since the beginning of 2018 I have been conducting workshops and interviews with various sectors of Mexican society, both in the countryside and in the city. On the other hand I nurture the actions that I carry out with an investigation and deepening of the theoretical knowledge of the plants from scientists, such as the botanist Francis Hallé, the philosopher Michel Marder, the anthropologist Viveiros de Castro, among others.

Movimiento de las Plantas
Plant movement
Pieza realizada en agosto 2018, donde el cuerpo simboliza el territorio de encuentro entre la naturaleza y la ciudad. Exploramos el movimiento de las plantas con dos bailarines que presentaron un ballet donde vestían prendas vegetales que les impedía de alguna manera su movimiento. Entre las plantas y el cuerpo en movimiento se encontraba una pieza de concreto y un montículo de tierra que fueron transformando a lo largo de su acción.
Piece made in August 2018, where the body symbolizes the territory of encounter between nature and the city. We explored the movement of the plants with two dancers who presented a ballet while they were wearing costumes made up organic matter that somehow obstruct their movement. In the floor of the galery there was a pile of earth covered by concrete that were transformed throughout its action.

Té Verde (foto performance)
Exposición colectiva en la que se reunió a diversos artistas para reflexionar sobre la relación del ser humano y la naturaleza. Aquí se presentó una serie de fotos donde se indaga la relación del cuerpo humano y la naturaleza como la superposición de símbolos para mostrar un “paisaje natural“.
Collective exhibition in which various artists met to reflect on the relationship of human beings and nature. Here a series of photos were presented that investigates the relationship of the human body and nature as the superimposition of symbols to show a “natural landscape”.

Arboléa, Convivio de ciencias y artes bajo los árboles
Proyecto desarrollado en colaboración con Teatro entre 2
Una instalación plástica/escénica, que se coloca debajo de un árbol previamente escogido. Se convoca a los niños visitantes para que junto a un grupo de artistas de distintas disciplinas hagan uso de dicha instalación durante toda la tarde. Un grupo de actores/músicos buscarán establecer un contacto íntimo con los participantes. Además se realizan acciones performativas encaminadas a poner a la vista la relación que el ser humano ha desarrollado con los árboles.
A plastic / scenic installation, which is placed under a previously chosen tree. Visiting children are invited to make use of this installation together with a group of artists from different disciplines throughout the afternoon. A group of actors / musicians will seek to establish intimate contact with the participants. In addition, performative actions are carried out aimed at exposing the relationship that human beings have developed with trees.
