'Browser History' is a video piece accompanied by a physical map representing my browser history. This explorative exercise was done in order to start materializing my virtual world. These pieces were made using data from my personal internet use. I created a physical map of this history by making a collage that also interacted with the space where I made the map.
The next phase of the project is to execute a larger installation of a room representing the internet that would be interactive with an audience. The installation would be a piece that fosters a dialogue about our digital worlds, which would incorporate interactive features reminiscent of WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, or email without losing interaction with the space itself. The space created would be a physical manifestation of the places we navigate online while giving them a new bridge into reality.

Living my whole life in Mexico City, flowers have always been omnipresent in my day to day. In an attempt to search for traditional Mexican art working with flowers while thinking of new ways to create dialogues about sustainability in the city, I started to play around with the idea of an installation art piece with flowers. Casa Flor is a proposed temporary community space aimed to preserve Mexico’s cultural heritage related to floriculture while promoting modern cohabitation with plants and flowers in the metropolis. Casa Flor would be a living museum dedicated to the anthropology of Mexico’s flower arts by exhibiting traditional crafts involving flowers, such as floral banners used for religious holidays. It would also be an urban green space open to the public for leisure, admiration, and education on flowers’ and plants’ role in daily Mexican life. This project is inspired by the work of the Detroit's Flower House and is still in progress.
Performance Ciclos was an outdoor performance on CENART's campus. Guided by a shadowy figure, the main character, who was performed by me, is first born from the earth and then faithfully follows the shadow for the entire piece. The audience follows both characters in their journey to discover and understand the four elements of the earth. Upon reaching a sculpture representing all four elements, my character ends his quest by stripping himself of his accumulated knowledge to return to nothingness.
Completed in CENART's Salon Abierto in 2015 with John Terrocharge, Victor Lucero
